I'm wondering if anybody has upped the voltage in their g71gx-rx05 from best buy and if so, how severe were the temps increases. Same with g51 owners, those whom have done the bios mod to 1.0 or 1.5v and what temps are you getting with the mod and an oc?

also i'm curious, why the g51 bios is so different from teh g71 bios for the video card. Are not all gtx260m's the same....

I tried to read the GTX 260M BIOS from someone's G71 and it wouldn't read. I think Asus is using some kind of "flash and forget" method on the G71 GPU BIOS. As for the G51, from my observation, most users rarely run on 1v at Nvidia's reference clocks on their cards let alone 1.05v at reference clocks. The base heat output from that voltage value packs too much of a wallop for the G51's cooling to handle. Then again, one can always pimp out their G51's cooling to make that dream a reality.
