Hey guys need some info/help,
My GPU (gtx460m) died in my G73sw and i get the gtx560m for the same price as a gtx460m, What i want to know is if i get the gtx560m is it ok to just put the G73sw heatsink on it? I know the gtx560m heatsink is a little bigger (covers a couple more chips) but are those chips needed to be covered?
Also because my GPU is dead, Is it possible to put the new gtx560m in an put the laptop back together and boot it up then install the drivers? or will it not be recognized and i wil have a black screen?
Is there any other cards that fit the g73sw and its heatsink?
All help and knowledge is helpful also if some one has Links to gpu upgrades for g7swv that would be alot of help.
Thanks![]()

Those components do get hot and they needed to be cooled using thermal pads otherwise the life expectancy will be reduced. -
Does the G53SW G53SX G53JW heatsink fit in the G73SW?
Biggest thing is will it work enough for me to install the right drivers? Does a custom bios or anything needed to be loaded onto the card?
Edit: correct me if im wrong but the gtx460m is identicaal to the gtx560m except the heatsink covers extra chips on the gtx560m where the G73SW heatsink doesn't cover the same chips on the gtx460m.
g73sw GTX560M upgrade? How?
