i installed a second hard drive in my g71gx, (asus sent me the wrong screws for mounting the bracket to my computer.....and forgot to send me ones to mount the hard drive to the bracket) after stealing screws from my older laptop and my sisters broken one,
and i got the hard drive in, booted my computer, and went to the bios, saw two hard drives and thought "cool." started vista, went to my computer, and there was only one hard drive listed.
how do i make the other one work?

Go to control panel, administrative tools, Computer Management. On the bottom left of the window that opens, go to Disk Management. Find your new HDD there and format it as w/e you want it to be and it should show up.
-
In the control panel, open "Administrative Tools"
Select "Computer Management" and then "Storage"
Run "Disc Management Snap-In"
Now you should see your original drive and a new drive that is marked as unallocated space. Click on this and you can create one or more partitions and format them. Then they will show up in windows. -
thanks a bunch guys
