I got a USB headset yesterday and I'm hearing a "boooooooooooooooo" sound. The volume on the sounds lowers when I unplug my laptop, pressing down and putting a good amount of pressure near the speaker areas, placing the laptop on my lap, plugging it into my kitchen socket (but no other socket and can't work there).

I tried a 3 to 2 prong adapter but that didn't work, I tried a usb extension cord but that didn't work.

The 3 prong adapters can't add in ground on a cable without it. I would return the headphones.
