    hard disk utility ??

    is there any utility that stops the HDD on sensing any motion in laptop, like there is for "lenovo" ???

    in addition to this also specify other utilities/software.

    Nits4u,What asus model or Hard drive are you dealing with? I just worked on a Toshiba Netbook NB210 and there was a utility installed from the factory that did this. The first thing the user wanted to know was how to disable this, the slightest disturbance caused the already slow machine to pause.

    i am using A52F, with hitachi HDD. i want such utility, coz i have to move my laptop alot while working.

    I believe such a utility would be part of the hardware (i.e. the particular model hard drive) and not software and therefore having nothing to do with the brand of the notebook.
