Does the b1 model have shock sensors for the harddrive? I thought it did, but can't find it.

Also is the 200GB 7200rpm drive SMART drive? All my programs like ntune and NHC can't pickup the status.

Nor can NHC pickup harddrive temp.

I have doubts that there exists a HDD manufactured in 2007 that does not have SMART. It's just that NHC and ntune are not compatible with its SMART commands, basically each manufacturer has its own implementation. See the webpage of the manufacturer for a tool that you can download (usually bootable ISO or floppy image) to check the SMART status of your HDD.

For drive temp, I'd recommend MobileMeter but it only works in XP.

I'm not sure about the shock sensors. Don't worry about it though, usually notebook HDD are quite robust. They will probably develop bad sectors if you bump the computer against doors every day while it's running -- but you shouldn't do that anyway, should you? :)
