After I reinstalled the OS and installed the Intel wireless driver and app., the hcontrol.exe, which is the program that controls the "Fn" key, cannot be loaded.
Does anyone has the same problem?
    Any solution?

    Thanks a lot!

Uninstall the Intel drivers and revert to the ones that came with the ASUS Driver & Utility Driver CD.... there's an issue with the new Intel Proset 10 drivers and HControl...

I just formatted and installed xp pro using the latest intel chipset drivers and the latest wireless. But I did not use the intel app, I installed just the driver and configured the wireless using the windows app. My FN key seems to work fine. Is the problem with the driver or the intel app?

I did try the ones that came with the computer, but those are v10 already.
It's the intel app that is causing the problem, because I didn't get any error with the driver along.
But I just found a Hcontrol.exe, modded by a guy, from google, I'm going to try that later.

    The modded hcontrol.exe doesn't work.
How do you turn off your wireless card if you don't have the intel app?

    Thanks.

Right click on the connection in the Windows Networking and disconnect?

One last thing, could you tell me where I can download the modded hcontrol?
I don't think mine is working.

    Thanks again!

So if I want to use the power4gear do I need the hcontrol installed? It only controls the Fn keys?

So is the atk0100 driver the same as the hcontrol? I have the atk0100 driver installed from the disc, but my buttons still don't work. Do I need to install something else?

For some reasons that the tech support said they don't have the newer ATK0100, but the one on the website.

Is it possible to share that with me?

    Thank you very much!

I want to know why ASUS has yet to release drivers so that we can use the intel proset wireless v.10.

    I'm really ticked off...

ASUS is in no hurray to please their customers. This is a fact you will realize soon enough. For example, 14 kb/s is the best download speed you can get off their website for drivers. They have a bottleneck somewhere that slows down the speeds. Their message board on the site, the say "we do not moderate this site or reply to questions."
Then why is the message board there? Give it a few months, I'm sure someone at ASUS will get on this task.
