can anyone tell me what kind of headphones do i need to use with my asus g50 vt x5, I jus bogt ones but as soon as i plug them in they come out, in order to have any sound at them i have to hold them with something so i can hear anything,,
So whats the headpohne jack in milimiters 3,5mm

How long have you had the G50? Some people have had issues with the switch inside the port getting broken over time. I dont think this is your issue in its entirty but u could use the methods described in the g50 owners lounge (should link to issue?) to force the switch between speaker and headphone.
I use a 20 dollar pair of sony "studio" headphones I have had for years and sony still sells them.
I am writing a tool for asus laptops and the option to force output switch will be there (on the windows tray no less) to make it easier to switch for those with problems.
If you have the issue on other headphones and its under warranty contact asus for repair. -
IRCC, the headphone input on my G50 was quite tight. You'd have to push the headphone jack all the way in until you feel/hear a distinctive click.
Also, all notebooks use 3.5mm audio in/out ports. -
