    help!!! installing 7 on g50

    I tried to install windows 7 on my g50vt, after where it says "checking your video performance" when it restarts to load the windows, it gives me an error "missing c:\recovery.dat" and a big red ERROR on the screen.
    i have googled it, and seems that the only solution is deleting the recovery partition.
    I just wanna know is there any other sol. ?
    i have seen lots of ppl having win7 on their g50, do they deleted the recovery part. ?

    There is no point of keeping the recovery partition as you get the DVD to reinstall windows anyways. At least, that's what I did...
