Try by reinstalling the ATK package first, then get the latest version of P4G available on your laptop's support page. It is my understanding that P4G was fine tuned for a particular generation of processors depending on the version. If you are using a laptop with the latest Intel processors, then go ahead and get the latest version.

It's also possible that the installation has become corrupted, can you uninstall it from the programs and features control panel?

If that doesn't work, do a disk check: Check your hard disk for errors

^^^^^ Try clearing all temporary files (run windows 7 disk cleanup)
If it still fails, login with an admin account , create a new acccount (with administrator rights) and login with the new account and retry the removal or installation of power4....

The only other things I can think of:
    1. when you run the installer, disconnect from the internet and disable any antivrus or malware software that is running, then try the install.
    OR
    2. Use msconfig safe boot, Using Windows “Safe Boot” To Diagnose and Repair Problems
    Then try the install
    3. Last option would be factory restore
