    hello all,

    asus n61jq,
    owned -- worked great since 7/2010.
    windows 7 -- x64

    i use the computer daily, for many hours each day, and it USED TO WORK very well.

    now, LITERALLY DAILY, it freezes. the screen freezes, and i have to hold down the power button to reset it for use. upon reset, there's a 50-50 chance it will freeze before even launching the os.

    some things i've noticed:
    =====
    **watching the temperature via coretemp, and it's not overheating.
    **it has NEVER frozen in safe mode.
    **uninstalling the graphics seemed to temporarily help the problem

    have tried:
    =====
    memtest -- no errors found
    restore factory settings -- started freezing again as i was re-installing my programs.

    is there a way to debug this?

    thanks!

    s
