Which G70 series model? G70S-A2 I assume. If so, get the G70Sg. Faster RAM & better GPU (I count single GPU better in this case). Generally better if the other model we're talking about is in fact the G70S-A2.

    G70Sg has DDR2-800 & 9800M GTS. G70S has DDR2-667 & 2x 8700M GT.

Actually sorry i made a mistake i get confused with all this different versions.
I am undecided between the ASUS G71G-A2 and G70Sg-A2.
What i need to know is does the ASUS G71G-A2 support DDR3 , cause i saw few posts saying it didn`t?

On ncix and few other syas it does

    http://www.ncix.com/products/index.php?sku=4390126&vpn=90NR1A2C345B4KQL450Y&manufacture=ASUS

    http://www.canadacomputers.com/index.php?do=ShowProduct&cmd=pd&pid=020859&cid=896.358

And this will be better then the G70Sg-A2? I noticed that the G70Sg-A2 is still 1000$ more expensive.

    http://www.ncix.com/products/index.php?sku=111116575&vpn=90NS4A16321A9JQL450T&manufacture=Asus

But i can`t find full specs for this =/

And what about the Asus G71V-Q1 i can`t find nay infos on this , what are the specs?

This question comes up a lot whether a customer can upgrade their current DDR2 system to DDR3 memory. To use DDR3 memory, your system must have both a 204-pin SODIMM slot and a chipset that supports DDR3 memory. A DDR3 SODIMM will not fit into DDR2 or DDR memory sockets. Please view the picture below for reference:

So to reiterate, the G71G-A1/A2 will not support DDR3 memory as it has a different key slot nor will the G70Sg-A2 model notebook

    The G71V comes with a less powerful GPU (a 9700M GT; 32 cores; 128-bit). You'll probably want the G71G more (9800M GS; 64 cores; 256-bit downclocked 9800M GTS).

The G70Sg has a sligtly more power GPU (9800M GTS; 64 cores; 256-bit. Both I believe use the same RAM (DDR2-800). I would think the G70Sg is a premium gaming notebook hence the higher price tag.

You're overlooking a big factor. The G70SG has 8GB RAM, which is the major reason for the price increase.
