They probably will but it doesn't hurt to ask. Call ASUS service perhaps?

a8e is the new replacement top and lcd cover assembly's for all a8jx models.

my broken a8jm hinges were replaced by A8E parts, apparently a new revision of the A8 parts, we'll see in a few months if they really are a legitimate fix.

Good to know (perhaps also useful to post in the A8 owner lounge, that A8E parts are supposed to fix the A8J hinge problem?)

Edit: Actually I see you posted the info in a lot of places... it would have been better to post it in the owner's lounge only...

yap, this seems true. I used a8e parts.

Just to update this thread. I asked the guys from asus and they pointed me to buy the a8e parts. I was missing the LCD Cover. This was 1 month ago, So, I already got the parts and replaced it by myself. Now, my old a8jm looks brand new again :)

    Thanks everyone for the help.

its probably out of stock because they are now replacing the top case assembly with a new revised model aswell

    called A8E-1A TOP CASE ASSY

give asus support a call, they would be able to help or the e-store.
