There were a couple of devices which weren't detected for me;
1. ITE_Remote_VT_080422.zip
2. KB_filter_VT64_080918.zip
3. Touchpad_VT_080605.zip
4. FingerPrints_VT081223.zip
5. ATK - i think i started with ATKDrv_VT64_080605.zip
I also downloaded the latest catalyst from
http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/Pages/index.aspx
btw the function key is a royal pain... if anyone has found a way to remap it, please let me know.
Cheers -
For the vista drivers that don't work on Win7, try right click on the driver exe file -> troubleshoot compatability -> try recommended settings -> start program

the problem aint the compability what i really dont know is which drivers i SHOULD install
the site is filled with things i dont think i need on the other hand i dont know what i do need!
can you help me with that?
right now i only installed VIDEO/CHIPESET/SOUND thats it.. i dont know what are all the ATK drivers and which one i should download
i wanted to download the fitting lan/wifi drivers (althou windows recognized it) and there other things im not sure i really need... what drives should i reallky install? -
If the default drivers from Windows are working, I'd just go with them. The only exception might be a video card driver . . .
-
what about battery drivers? and hotkeys? function key is dead for me.. and i have some other problems i think cause i dont have the right drivers
im not sure what i do need to install..
there are alot of garbage i know ...
so i dont wanna install all the ATK drivers -

thanks David! that has been very helpful.
altough it missing somethings
like ATK0100 ACPI UTILITY
and many other programs that are being offred and im not even sure what are they doing
anywhere else i can get that info? -
for example iv installed Intel Turbo Memory Technology
casue i thougth
hamm turbo! sunds fast
but for some reason it installed a Matrix somthing program for me somthing to check the HD or somthing like that which i dont have any use of...
now i wonder if to uninstall it..
blah.. i hate too much software for nothing -
The ATK0100 ACPI utility is Asus's power management utility.
Intel turbo memory does not help your system's performance at all, especially if you've got 4GB of ram already. Personally, I would leave that out.
Intel Matrix storage technology is useful when you have one or more storage devices. I wouldn't worry about it since you won't be using RAID.
