buy an s-video to composite adapter. plug the s-video adapter into the s-vide on the laptop and the composite into the tv. i think that will work

Adey, can it be related to old TV setting?
I want to say that may be you need to change TV input using TV remote or something like that?

Adey, may it be because this old TV can't read digital signal and works with analog input only?
Or may be you have to connect NB TV out to a cable box?

Sorry, I do not know much about TV

well it is a analog tv for sure.. n i havent connected the tv out to cable box. there is a trick i read somewhere, Simply take a very thin piece of wire, such as a single strand from a copper wire. Then, insert the ends into the top left and right holes on the S-Video connector before you plug up the cable. and it will make the nvidia to detect a tv. the only problem is that when i select the tv or lcd+tv the screen goes blank n i cant get the tv out connection..
