i am a proud s5(1.6 dothan version) owner for more than 5 months and i have a problem with wireless setup.

when i got my notebook, i downloaded the latest drivers from asus support site and installed which have highest version number than the ones on the CD, and downloaded intel pro wireless 9.0 from intel web site.
after, my FN+F2 combination(wireless activation) ceased to work. with an error message(unable to load intel sebring api, please install proset utility)

yesterday i have installed a fresh windows xp professional edition(my device came with home edition) and i am confused with wireless setup.
whatever i do, and in which order i install the drivers, i cant get the FN+F2 combination work like expected!

can someone tell me which wlan drivers will be installed in which order?

Well at a guess I would say your missing the ACPI drivers, which should control the buttons on your lappie...i think..to lazy to check, sorry. Maybe try updating those.

thank you for your response but i install acpi drivers at first place.
here is what i do: i install all drivers and utilities but w-lan drivers. made a check point in system restore.
downloaded latest celexio2 drivers from asus support

which drivers and utilities do i have to install in which order?
it seems that only installing asus wlan utility doesnt work. what about intel proset utility?

maybe you forgot to turn off the intel wireless program? well if you have it on, you will have to manually scan it to use it. If you have it turned off, you will be using the windows wireless thing...
