    Hey everyone,
I bought my v6va a few months ago and everything was going great until I started hearing a rattling noise coming from the top left-hand corner of my screen. It only makes it when I move it around and open and close the screen, and it has not hindered my performance whatsoever. Is this something I should be concerned with or will get worse with time?

Should I go ahead and call Asus and deal with that, or just live with it?

    Thanks!

Personally, I'd take it apart and take a look. LCD assemblies are very easy to take apart, just a few screws (usually concealed by rubber feet that can be pried up with a thin blade or long fingernails). Sounds like somethings just loose up there, maybe a screw wasn't tightened properly and fell out. It's probably not a big deal, however.

Yes, but take care, Carrie, that would probably void your warranty. And if you're not good with screws and stuff you might scratch things inside there, and if something is really going to malfunction inside and you have to send it in, they might see that you opened it and refuse to service it.

So personally, I wouldn't mess with the insides of my in-warranty notebook's LCD. :)

If it's really bothersome, call Asus about it. There are certain parts of notebooks that are designed for end-users to change (RAM, hard drive, mini-PCI boards, etc.) Taking apart "non-user serviceable" components like the LCD would most likely void your warranty.

Thanks a lot for all the advice. I think I am going to see if there is anything my bf can do (he is a lot more saavy at all that kind of stuff) before I call.

    Thanks again!
