Hi all, i've just experienced a strange thing with my V1SN. The computer was in hibernation mode, when I plugged in the ac adapter, it woke up from hibernation mode automatically. It just happened once and i've never seen this before. The wake up on LAN function was always off. Does anyone have a clue on this? Thanks in advance.

Yes, it's a 'feature' of Vista and checking for Windows Updates. Check in the Task Scheduler under Administrative Tools--->Task Scheduler. Check the tasks and see if Windows is running an update at 3:00 AM or something.

Thanks for the quick reply! The update schedule was set to "Download updates but let me choose whether to install them".
Before the auto. wake up happened, the computer was updated automatically and rebooted. I changed the option in the windows update and then put the computer into hibernation. So, the auto. start up was caused by the changed option in the windows update? -
um ... the auto. start up just happened again. There's no update pending in the windows update and all the options that can turn on the computer (i.e mouse, keyboard, LAN in win Vista) have been turned off. It just happened twice randomly, i can't really figure out what's the thing that triggered the laptop to wake up from hibernation when plugged in the ac adapter. Has anyone else experienced the same thing before? Is there anyway to solve this problem? Thanks for any solution provided.
