    Frequent Change of diapers.

LOL. I usually wipe down the surfaces on a weekly basis, and clean out the ventilation areas of dust, etc, once a month.

a few sheets of Toilet paper is all you need.

The outside shell, I use a paper towel and a little bit of rubbing alcohol. Wipes the finger prints off. Someone please tell me if this is a bad idea. :)

On the inside, I just use a cloth made for lcds to wipe the dust away.

Overtime my keyboards get NASTY... filled with dead skin and lint, food and bugs. I have no idea what I'm going to do with a laptop keyboard when it comes time for that.

What do you mean take off all the keys? I don't think that's a good thing to do on a regular basis... at least I wouldn't do it :)

I use LCD antistatic cleaning cloths and a spray for cleaning LCDs. I usually start with the LCD, clean it nicely, and then go all around the notebook including keys (without taking them out :) ), and on the top of the lid. I do this every few weeks (when I'm not too lazy).

I never cleaned the dust in the fan compartment but my computer has been in RMA rather often so they must've done it. I get normal temps out of it currently. I do clean the dust from the air intake grid on the bottom of the notebook, since that's directly accessible.

For the keyboard one can use a mini brush or small vacuum.

For the screen I use a micro fiber cloth, I use a micro fiber cloth with a dab of water on it, and then dry it with a dry micro fiber cloth.

For the palm rest and bezel area, once again the dry micro fiber cloth does well.

The vents also need cleaning after some time of use, like 3-6 months. The vents do get clogged with dust, lint, hair and etc, so using a can of compressed air this will get rid of it.

If the vents are clogged the temps will rise, so that is one way of knowning your laptop is due for cleaning. Of course monitor your temps from time to time.

I flipped it upside down with the screen closed, shake abit, turn it back up and clean the muck off the screen. Then i'll use a cloth and wipe the whole computer.

Wipe the outside down with a baby wipe..Then i take the bottom off and use compressed air on the motherboard and mem and all over the inside of the laptop, i usually just blast the air through the vents but once a month ill clean the whole thing and spray the inside. Same thing with the k-board just lots of compressed air. Its dusty as hell here in Iraq so i do it often.

I usually wipe down the screen once in a while when it gets dusty... a microfiber cloth with some water works well.
I will remove the keyboard and clean it thoroughly once in a while... and every few months I'll open up the CPU cover and clean the fan/vent.
