    both incorrect
I believe the correct pronounciation in the asian region is "ah-soos", but most North American's pronouce it as "ay-sis"..

Long "A" like in ape and "Zeus" like the Greek god.

I use to call them just by each letter like USA, A-S-U-S. That was fun when I first called there RMA line for a Mobo.

Well, i know in Hong Kong they call it "ay-sis" and i think i prefer it that way!
I read some where that Asus got the name from "Pegasus", so naturally they may have wanted to be called "ah-seuss".

Yeah... we've had this discussion before. I'm pretty sure the way it's SUPPOSED to be pronounced is "Ah-Soos"... but I say "Ay-sis"

LOL this has been covered many times before.

I'm with AuroraS on this one, I say "Ay-sis" as well.

Whoever said it's supposed to be "Ah-Soos" is on crack in my opinion.

well first off its not a word. So theres not really a right way to say it

    It comes from PEG-ASUS

    that would be ahhh suss

    not AYE SOOS

But, a chinese person might not be able to say ahh suss. they might say aye soos. So are they right? I mean its their company. Must be.
They invented the word. It doesnt mean anything or stand for anything.

It could be pronounced "gay midget porn"

Well neither is Inspiron or Vaio a word, nor does it stand for anything. It doesn't matter what kind of person pronounces it as whether it's right or wrong, it's "Ah-Soos" as the official commercial has pronouced it as.

Shouldn't we pronounce it the way the creators pronounce it? It's definitely ah-soos. Officially.

It is supposed to be pronounced Ay-suss (as in Pegasus, where the name came from)

However bastardization by our horrible chinese accents has led the co. to be called "Ah soos" even by the employees and executives, so in the end it doesn't really matter what you call it.

It is similar to the way almost everyone here in the states pronounces Porche as "porsh" when in reality it should be pronounced "por-shuh". Doesn't keep anyone from understanding what you mean, but interesting anyways.
