I have no problems of projecting onto a 1680x1050 monitor on its own, or when i use the monitor as an extended desktop. it would display in the correct resolution.

My problem is trying to display the same image on both screens at the same time. It would either come out really big and not fit the screen or it would fit the screen but the resoluton on the w3j is all squashed.

anyone have any suggestions to correct this or can this not be done?

the native resolution of the w3j is 1280x768 btw.

I'm not sure I quite understand, but you are trying to get the W3j to use 1680x1050 as its native resolution?

If so, then its not possible.

    If not, then oops :)

I think he wants to run dual displays. The same display running on both the 1280x768 resolution of his laptop, and elsewhere at 1680x1050.

I have no idea how to help, just wanted to clarify.

    hehe Cori you are correct.

Laptops so far are not able to produce 2 different resolutions at 1 time.

For example, my 20+ year old TV uses a resolution of 1024x768, in order for me to use my TV properly in Clone mode, I must take my laptop and switch the resolution to 1024x768 so that both Laptop Screen and TV display properly.

This also applies for movies, we'll especially for movies because you can clone using a higher resolution, but the movie will be cut off, same like viewing the desktop on the TV, it will also be cut off.

When doing extended, it is seemingly ok, I will have to further test with this.

Using the Projecter, I am not 100% sure, it depends on how it detects the projector, are you using the VGA port or S-video port?
