it has a 12 month from Asus and you can buy a longer one from Best Buy, but I am not sure how taking it out of the country will affect either.

You have to send it back to the US. BestBuy products only carry 1 year US warranty.

What you need is a global warranty, which would be valid in Israel and any repairs would be done through the Europe Asus global repair center (which has a fairly poor reputation, as opposed to the US center in Fremont - so you should also take this into consideration before your purchase).

To get the global warranty, and purchase in the US, you need to get the unit from one of the Asus resellers. Reputable ones here are BTOTech.com, GenTechPC.com, ExcaliberPC.com and XoticPC.com.

Check under Specifications tab, top line. :).

    Warranty Terms: 1 Year.

Best Buy covers the warranty, not Asus. That is partly how the cost is so low.

Asus may help you if you call them but that is hardly guaranteed. The Asus global warranties are only applicable to non BB models.

You're starting to go in circles.... see my previous response to this question above :), and Best Buy warranties are US *only*.

What Tevash means is that Asus US might/sometimes offer to help if Best Buy won't/can't, but *all* Asus models sold through Best Buy will have warranty service performed only in North America, no matter what.

For global warranty coverage in the European region you have to send it to the regional TechSupport facility, which is in The Netherlands.
