i want to downgrade vista to windows xp, tried the dualboot method but when windows xp installation has completed and tries to boot for the first time after the splash screen, i get a quick bluescreen and laptop reboots.

i called asus apparently this laptop uses the santa rosa generation of centrino and asus said not possible to downgrade to windows xp, some forum said something about BIOS replaced by EFI, some said its because theres no driver for windows xp...

Can somebody please clarify this for me, if there is a method around this to install xp, please provide me a step by step guide.

if there is already thread regarding this topic, i apologise and please give me the direct link

    Many thanks for help
