Hi, i just did a reformat on my A7J. I have not installed the wireless apps yet because i am trying to use the default windows xp wireless driver/app. I know the ones in the DRIVER CD is the intel software so i dont wnat to go near it.

RIght now in Device Manager, there is no wireless -- only my ethernet. How do i set this up so xp would see my wireless card??

Why don't you "want to go near it"? Is it EVIL? :D

Seriously speaking, there's no reason to cause yourself headaches. Just install the manufacturer-provided driver.

I think you still have to go near it.... You have to install the Intel one (driver only). Remember, just the driver only. Don't install the PROSet software (personally I think Intel's software is OK, at least for me, but since you don't want it... whatever). After that you can use Windows to manage the wireless connection.
