So, I put my laptop into hibernate before I went to work. I just turned it on and as I did I checked cpuid monitor (temp monitor) and it shows my gpu of a max temp of 255*c (491*f). I was wondering if this is just a glitch or what and if its happened to anyone else before. Max temp on processors was 70*c which are OC'd.

*No sign of BSOD or shutdown, as when I turned it on it still has everything loaded as it was before the hibernation without using the resume windows options.

I'd say glitch.. The computer would shutdown at a certain threshold well below that figure.

Definately a glitch, once laptops reach 105c or aboveish, they will shut themselves down if they do not BSOD as to protect the hardware from prolonged exposure to extremely high temps.
