Sorry if this is a stupid question, i haven't checked this board since December. I just scan through proportable and btotech real quick, and i couldnt find any W3J on their site. Did ASUS stop producing W3J ?

All the major dealers have it for major discounts, but I haven't seen anything on the ProPortable site. You may want to check with them to see if they have any parts and are willing to sell them to you for a discount.

Just don't buy from Newegg. Their price is still sky-high.

I haven't seen the price change on the milestonepc website in over a month (unless >$2000 *is* the discounted price)

For the W3J? MilestonePC is selling it for substantially less than its original selling price of $1700 (last time I checked, it was $1550 or something).

I think the recent V2 is most likely its "replacement" in the 14" category...

I have found the W3J for EUR,- 897 here in the Netherlands. Quite cheap in my opinion. Too bad I don't need one :S

Yeah, the V2 is replacing the W3J. The V2 doesn't have the same style hinges though - seems like Asus is reserving the W3 hinge design on ultraportable models like the U1 or S6. I was disappointed when I saw the V2 has the traditional two-hinge on the side design like the V1 has. Whatever. The V2 is still very good looking :)
