is anyone using asus k40ab?? how is its gaming performance?? how much does it cost?? is it reliable? any other issues with it?
-
nobody is using this laptop??
-
It just came out recently over here. At a price of RM1999 (US$567) and with such excellent gaming potential, you'd be crazy to buy other notebooks that only come with Nvidia G105M. It's a performance difference of 2X. See benchmark.

that is why im intersted in it...though there are no reviews of it..what do you think about its amd processor and overall asus reliability??

is nobody using this laptop?
-
how good is the processor?? does it produce a lot of heat??
-
I am using it, bought it on 20th Jan.
Three things to be worried about:
- Runs very hot-normal working temp of Processor is over 75C and of GPU over 80C
- Battery lasts max 1Hr-(normal for almost all gaming laptops-even the Alienware)
- no express card slot but 4 USB slots compensate this deficiency
- Gaming performance is very good
- video quality is excellent-better than any DELL,HP laptop costing more than 40000INR(this laptop costs 34000INR)
- very nice keyboard
- although the laptop runs hot, the ice cool design surface doesn't let you feel the heat, only way you come to know is the if you put your hand on the exhaust
- 2yrs warranty
- only one laptop in market which challenges it in terms of features and price-the ACER 5542G
So I don't think there is any point of comparing a Lancer EVO to a Lamborghini.
Only thing works for me is that at this price tag there is no laptop which gives this kind of performance.
This is just my view, other people's opinion may vary. -
I too also own this notebook, its very portable ie small and roundish on its edges. The performance of this notebook is indeed very spectacular in contrast to its pricing. Gaming is is very gooooooood, ive tried many games such as COD4&5&6, halo1&2, AC1&2, AOE3, CRysis,gta4 and haven't yet been unsatisfied yet, although gta4 was quite laggy on high performance.
