It just came out recently over here. At a price of RM1999 (US$567) and with such excellent gaming potential, you'd be crazy to buy other notebooks that only come with Nvidia G105M. It's a performance difference of 2X. See benchmark.

Of course, it will be slower since it uses DDR2 as its VRAM. AMD processors lag behind their Intel counterparts, along with producing a bit more heat. It's fairly a new model, so I suggest to wait for reviews.

I am using it, bought it on 20th Jan.

Three things to be worried about:
    • Runs very hot-normal working temp of Processor is over 75C and of GPU over 80C
    • Battery lasts max 1Hr-(normal for almost all gaming laptops-even the Alienware)
    • no express card slot but 4 USB slots compensate this deficiency
    Now comes the good part:
    1. Gaming performance is very good
    2. video quality is excellent-better than any DELL,HP laptop costing more than 40000INR(this laptop costs 34000INR)
    3. very nice keyboard
    4. although the laptop runs hot, the ice cool design surface doesn't let you feel the heat, only way you come to know is the if you put your hand on the exhaust
    5. 2yrs warranty
    6. only one laptop in market which challenges it in terms of features and price-the ACER 5542G
As far as performance is concerned we should only compare a processor which costs almost equal to another, in that way an AMD Turion RM-75 is better than a Core2 as the price of the lowest core2 is higher than AMD.

So I don't think there is any point of comparing a Lancer EVO to a Lamborghini.

Only thing works for me is that at this price tag there is no laptop which gives this kind of performance.

This is just my view, other people's opinion may vary.

No ur absolutely rite ! :) I too also own this notebook, its very portable ie small and roundish on its edges. The performance of this notebook is indeed very spectacular in contrast to its pricing. Gaming is is very gooooooood, ive tried many games such as COD4&5&6, halo1&2, AC1&2, AOE3, CRysis,gta4 and haven't yet been unsatisfied yet, although gta4 was quite laggy on high performance.
