    Hi all,

I was looking for an Win XP Pro w/sp2 for my laptop. I came across a website that said they have the OS but it is for 64 bit system. I look through intel but it does not seem clear so I am assuming it is 64 bit system for t2500. Also does anyone know a good website for an oem OS win xp pro w/sp2. I need an os with sp2 because this system for some reason it has to detect sp2 otherwise i get the blue screen

    thanks
    loc

It depends on what CPU you have.

If you have a core2 duo then you have a 64-bit system
if you have a core duo then you have a 32 bit system

The t2500 isnt a 64 bit processor since its a Core Duo

But you can upgrade to the Core 2 Duo if your BIOS supports it (check the support.asus.com for BIOSes and lists of changes, Merom support might be mentioned).

However, upgrading CPU is a difficult business on a laptop, and it also voids the warranty.
