hi,
i am one of the many z70va lovers.....i would want to know one thing....now that Asus is goin to let loose a whole new batch of lappies....is there any thing that will physically qualify to replace the alround character of the mighty z70va(the screen, the look, the mid range card , 15" and of course...affordability)....i know there will be many people who will want to know this and this would decide whther to hurry for the last remaining z70va's or not....

As mentioned before....... the US isn't importing a new Z70j as it would be..... right now the only option is the Z92ja which may be technologically more advanced... but using an A6 chassis which certainly leaves a lot to be desired coming from the M6 chassis of the Z70va.... Technically, it's going to have better graphics, DVI out, and be around the same price..... so there is something to fill the void...... but like I've said before the Z63a and Z70va sales have picked up in the last month as the Z62f and Z92ja aren't quite as sexy and a lot of people realize the current chipset has more power than they're ever going to need........ so, you do need to make up your mind........ it's a tough choice, but if you like the look of the Z70, the Z92ja is never going to full satisfy you.

also im going to write a last min review on my z70va when i get to to make sure everyone buys the last ones lol

If the users don't choose Duo Core, many Asus fans still love z70va as long as the barebone price is drop.... i guess....

I can't see ASUS dropping the price on the Z70va. It's still very popular, so the remaining units will have no problem selling.

Yeah, I was talking about just the whitebook. The remaining fees all depend on what you choose to configure it with.

I doubt that the P-M's are going to drop in price anymore. By looking at Intel's past transitional stages between processors and chipsets, the price of the Sonoma platform is just going to go up so that Intel can get people to buy their new Yonah technology. The same thing happened with the 400 fsb dothans versus the 533 fsb dothans, after a month or so, the cost of the 400 fsb was just a few dollars more expensive than the 533 bus. Intel wants to sell their new products so they are going to price accordingly to do so.

... considering the core duos are 50% more than the dothans right now... there isn't exactly a need for Intel to drop the price on them........ also, there isn't a reason for Asus to drop the price on the z70va's barebone... they just brought a new shipment in and they only did that because demand for them is still high, especially after we showed what the "replacement" for it would be...... so since ram and hard drives don't really change in price.... the price of the unit should stay the same until after it's EOL ... which is the end of the March..... now if people still have these in stock by summer, I can see discounts being placed on them then... but there's no need for that anytime soon.
is the z70va gone forever.....
