    hi i was looking around i did not find any posts about it did creative and asus just give up? i would like if the sub would work but i guess you cant have every thing. :(

    He's right it does work, but not as good as it does with the Creative software set to 7db +.

    I doubt that. The Creative software seems to sacrifice the rest of the sound with dynamic compression. But, if that sounds good to you, who am I to change your mind. :)

    Uh, ok. If you want to blow out the sound to the low end, knock yourself out.

    You can do that on the Realtek software too- there's an equalizer setting. Just set the low-end at +7db (which is flipping ridiculous, just so you know). FYI a positive upswing of approximately 3db is perceived as TWICE as loud to the human ear.
