For some reason, when I play DVDs on my A8Js the picture's very jerky, especially for documentaries. Just a day ago the DVDs were playing just fine until now. I haven't changed anything with my laptop except I have been switching back and forth between its LCD screen and an external flat screen. Could this be contributing to my problem at all? Could it just be that I have a faulty disk drive? It is still on warranty since I got it a little more than a month ago.
Here are the specs on it:
    duo core T7200
    14" WXGA+
    2 gb ram
    dvd super multi disk drive
    nvidia geforce go 7700
    WMP 11
    Vista Premium
    120 gb hd

    Problem solved,
I think it had to do with the external display.
