To be honest it really doesn't mattery, some people believe to charge it to full while the notebook is off then, calibrate the battery then use the laptop normally.

Some people just turn it on right away, and put in the battery for charge, and then do calibration later.

Other don't even bother with the whole calibration thing, because they fear it will uncessarily increase battery wear %, and make it go up.

Right, once your battery is charged and your using it at home, take out the battery and continue to use the laptop normally. Store the battery in a cool spot and then take it out when you need it.

If you plan on storing it for a long time, make sure the Charge is at 50% not 100%, and then store it for as long as needed, like if you went on a vacation but didn't bring your laptop.

To charge the battery while your using will take 4 hours, and if the notebook is off, it will take 2 hours.

How long can I store a battery? I'm about to purchase my V1Jp but it bundled with two batteries which I only need one. Ask to reduce price if I only take one battery but can't lol.....

For as long as you want, but the battery will start to loose charge by roughly 1-3% per month. So storing it at 50% and in a cool place, you should be good.

The G1 manual says to install the battery, plug in the power adapter, open the display and power it up. It will charge as you play with it.
