    i ordered it from gentechpc.com

i did not receive a mouse or a bag with the system... kinda expected some extras with such an expensive item...

but i must say... the screen is pretty nice, although the viewing angles are rather disappointing.

the heat coming out from the right vent is VERY HOT. i didn't expect it to be this hot.

I'm satisfied with my purchase though... pretty solid, except the right bottom corner flexes a bit... not a big deal.

the keyboard is nice. no flex here. i also like the sound on the keyboard.

time to go buy a usb mouse and a bag. *sigh*

    the laptop really is gorgeous.

I picked up my refresh w3j yesterday direct from ASUS in Fremont. What kind of benchmarks should I run?

man... this thing gets hot... hahahahaha

the air coming out of the vents = ridiculously hot.

and there are SO MANY useless processes running on startup.

how can i disable these? They're slowing down the comp so much.
Oh and which ones can i disable?

You have a workstation in a little 5 1/2 pound system... what do you expect? It's either going to blow out of the system or stay inside...... heating up your lap or your components would be bad... getting rid of the heat is a good thing. There is absolutely no way to have that performance without creating that heat...... it's physically impossible.

You can manipulate processes by going to run and typing: msconfig - shut down what you KNOW you don't need......

Go to Start>Run>type "services.msc" ...here you'll see all processes running and you'll have the options to set them to Auto, Manual, or Disabled. Look up Black Viper's Windows processes list on Google.. It's a guide of Windows processes and what each does, so you'll have an idea which ones to disable.

Not too sure about macbooks heating issues if any but i ve seen one the other day been used for a while. The exaust between the screen and latch made the body black. Not dust literally black from heat? I like the design though, very nice!!!
Thats not hot. Thats warm. Concrete on a hot summer day is hot. I can bathe in this exaust. If water was the same temperature as the exuast it would be called a warm tub not even a hot tub. Try and get it right :)

At least the heat is coming out of the vent, my friend has a macbook and it gets too toasty to put on my lap. The air from the vent is pretty warm, just make sure you don't put something metal infront of it, say a watch or something. I had an unfortunate experience when trying to move the heated watch later.
