My laptop is infected by virus and I want to use f9 key on boot up to recover the system. But the f9 key is not functioning. I check to see the hidden partition is there and even use partition manager to unhide the partition to check the files on the partition. I have not dua boot the system or modify the system in any way after purchase. What can I do to get the f9 key to work?

To test the key in windows 7 - open calculator - type in any number, press F9 - if the key works it should toggle + or - . Please let us know
