    Hi all,

i just have a query regarding my k52je...everything runs smoothly generally but sometimes, it tends to freeze/hang?
and also, for some reason, after a while of usage the bottom middle behind the screen gets really hot?

please can anyone give me insight into my issues.

    thanks

Your info is too vague, please specify a little more.

Hm, it's LED backlit from what I can tell from the specs I found, so it's not a backlight inverter getting warm. Are you talking about the lid, or the rear part of the lower chassis?

Perhaps you are feeling the vents or the northbridge getting hot.

im talking about the actual lid thats getting hot. im just wondering if this happens on all k52je's or just mine?

and the other thing is, sometimes my computer just hangs.do you think this is a problem with windows or with my hardware?

We need a lot more information.
What are you doing when it hangs? Does it happen randomly even if you're away from the computer, or only when you're sitting there? Does it usually happen on certain programs, during gaming, or when surfing the web?

What exactly do you mean hang? Does the entire screen just lock in place forcing you to reboot with the power button, or can you still move the mouse? Do you ever see a blue screen, green screen, or lines on the screen during the lockup?

What do you have hooked up to the machine with usb, bluetooth, or through wireless?

How long does it take before a lockup, and what speeds are your fans spinning at (in subjective terms such as none, a little, or full blast) and what are the temperatures on your processor and graphics card?

Does your windows error log document any particular problems following the lockup?

recently it hasnt been hangin..happily.the screen just locks but i do not have to reboot. i just have to wait 30 or so seconds before it gets back to normal again. it generally happens when i skip within a video in GOM player. and no,windows never logged any errors following the lockup

right now though,im still quite concerned about the hot lid
