I have a Asus F3Sa-A2 from newegg that I bought in like half a year. It is discontinued.

I have a question on how to keep the display on when the lid is close.
I already set in the power option of window that do nothing when lid is closed. But it still turns blank.

Can anyone offer a suggestion or answer
    thanks

why do you want to keep the display on? I'm not sure whether you can have it constantly on when it is closed!

Do you mean for an external monitor?
I can't see why someone would want the keys to be the only thing to see the screen...

i mean laptop...Because I don't want it to turn on and off when I lower my screen. Often times, i lower it to get something behind and then I open it and like the light just flash my eyes.

Sometimes i want to peek under the laptop when its not close all the way and i dont' want to open and close it again.

Also partly because there is a slight lag time that i find really annoying whenever i open my lid

I honestly don't think you can. I don't know about yours but mine only takes fraction of a second to turn on again.

For XP, go to your Power Options Properties in your Display Properties.
Select "Do Nothing" from the drop down menu where it says "When I close the lid of my portable computer".

For Vista, go to power options and right click on the battery icon. Then select "choose what closing the lid does"

I don't think it's possible to do that. At least I have never seen an option for it, so it may be implemented in the firmware/hardware.

I only have significant experience with ASUS laptops, and I can tell you with reasonable certainty that it can't be done for them.

The lag that you get when the screen turns on may be because of the video driver perhaps combined with the ATK driver.

You could try upgrading those instead, maybe the switch back on will become near-instant as it should be.
