Hi there is anybody with as ASUS G1 having an issue with keystrokes dropping out when typing messages in forums such as this one?

The problem is driving me crazy. I have an HP with a single processor which doesn't have this issue. I have many open windows and applications.
The G1 seems to be pretty busy all of the time and either drops keystrokes or doesn't see them.
The keyboard functions perfectly this is definatly as issue with ..well I don't know what the problem is I need HELP!!
    Thanks.

Make sure everything is updated, including all patches and drivers. I've noticed this on brand new computers, but tends to go away in a few days, hinting that it's Windows Update corrected.

You can typically only hold down 3 keys at a time that's why. Any more, usually the keyboard will drop them.

Usually when typing text one does not press more than two keys at once (SHIFT +letter maybe) so I don't think this is the problem.

the feature of a keyboard you are describing is called n key rollover. The original IBM keyboards had the most keys you could press at once. My asus V6J has 6-key rollover so i can press up to 6 keys at once. It also depends on what region your keys are pressed in too.

My laptop does this too. I found I just wasn't pressing the keys hard enough I guess. I was playing Bioshock one day and had my finger down on the W and I wasn't going anywhere, I pressed a fraction hard and I started moving, let up a little and I stopped. Kind of weird, but I guess every keyboard is different and each takes getting used to.

It is still sometimes annoying though because I hate going back and fixing things. Just start typing harder!
