Is it normal for a laptop, in this case an Asus z70va, to have the casing creak when you rest your hands on it? Is that just normal breaking in? thanks

It happens with my M6Ne as well...which is practically the same chassis... it's NOT breaking, it's just how the case is constructed. I don't worry about it at all (I've had this laptop for over a year now; it only "creaks" when I put excessive pressure on certain places)

you know... that is happening with my W3V right now... IT IS REALLY ANNOYING ME... i'm pretty sure this wasnt the case when i first got my W3v 2 months ago. I'm going to go home a retighten the screws to see if that helps.

Hmmmm none here....unless....I really put pressure on it..
-
Yeah, mine doesn't creak a bit...

For those that said no to the creaking, how long have you had your laptop? I've only had my laptop about a week and a half.
It just started after my friend played half-life2 on it most of last night. It was just shocking to hear b/c i thought b/c of how strong the case felt that i would not hear this cheap sound like hear out of a lot of other laptops -

When I sit on my keyboard to appreciate my 4.1 sound that my W2V has (according to the brochure anyway) I get lots of loud cracking noises..... ;-) Sorry, bad joke but I had to tie a couple of threads together there.
