Just wondering if anyone else experienced having their g50 turn on by itself a while after hibernating? For the past few days, I wake up to find my laptop turned on even tho I hibernated it the previous night.

What operating system are you running? Does this happen everytime you put the notebook to sleep or just on random occasions?

Won't have anything to do with the OS (assuming it actually IS going into hibernation). Its impossible for software to bring it back (believe me there are countless people on mp3 looking for a solution).

But that brings to question, are you absolutely sure it is going into hibernate in the first place? Sounds like it isnt. If it is, could be something with the bios glitching, or you may have a function on such as Wake on LAN (wakes if it connects to a network).

Im on Vista 64-bit. I'm certain that it went into hibernation. Right now, I pull the plug off the laptop after hibernating and when I replug it a few hours later, it just turns on automatically. When I shut down the computer, everything is fine.

    Maybe:

    a) update the BIOS to latest version if not already running it
    b) check BIOS settings, disable any "Wake on LAN", or similar, options.

BIOS was already updated to latest version and Wake on LAN is already off.
