I'm very interested in the asus m3n laptops...the only thing that scares me is the intel 855 video cards. Someone I saw posted that it has 8megs of shared video ram. Surely there is a BIOS option to increase that?????? If so, anyone know what the max is?

On a side note...how is the video performance on the m3n? Can you run video full screen smoothly? i.e. anyone with experience running divx's or dvds? Surely they wouldn't even sell this laptop with a dvd player if dvd playback skipped.

The specs i'm looking at are asus m3n with 1.7gighz, 512 ram.

    Cheers,[8D]

I doubt very much it can go above 8mb, it usually has max posted, you can turn it down, but not usually up. Like on the ATI 9000 with 128mb shared you can usually turn that down to 64, 32, 16 or 8 mb but you can never go above 128
