I got the one on my M70Vm working by using the driver off the drivers CD that came with the laptop.

The "mode button" doesn't light up but it works fine and the other "buttons" light up as they're suposed to, although iirc I had to enable tap zones and dualmode in the mouse settings in control panel.

I tried the 64bit drivers from the Synaptics site and they did not support dualmode. No option was present in the settings.

Yes.. I tried drivers from Synaptics, but they not working.

    On Win7 Beta1 I use drivers "Touchpad_DUALMODE_VT_080818.zip" (ver from readme: 11.1.21 07/03/2008) from Asus FTP: ftp://ftp.asus.com.tw/pub/ASUS/nb/Drivers/Touchpad/
They works fine. But on Win7 RC1 they don't work on my m50.

If Your driver from CD is different ver. then above, maybe You will add this driver to RAR archiwe and send it to my FTP?? If You can of course :)
My FTP adress is: ftp://jambi.mine.nu and the folder where You can save file is: "wrzutki".

    Thanks

My driver CD has the Vista drivers on it, yours should have the same.

There should be a folder in the path diskdriveletter:\software\ called touchpad, in there there should be a setup.exe file, that's the installer for the synaptics touchpad driver that you would have used for Vista.

Run that and it'll install the driver, you may need to restart but the touchpad should then work, but as I said I think I had to enable tap zones and dualmode in the settings.

Yes. I have Touchpad drivers on my orginal CD. But this driver is older and it only works on Vista x86/x64.
For win7 beta1 I must download newest driver and I find it on Asus FTP. Now I have exactly the same problem with this drivers on my win7 RC1 x64.

I try this driver and I let You know.

    Thanks

    Hey All,

Ok. It works. I reinstall all ATK driver's and again install Touchpad_DUALMODE_VT_080818.zip and it works.
But not everything - unfortunately don't work only touchpad shortcuts for brightnes.

    Thanks
