    m50vm-b2 esata drivers

    Would someone be so kind as to direct me to the esata driver for my m50vm-b2. It looks to me that vista64 isn't recognizing it in device manager. Also, the esata should be able to power a 2.5" external hard drive shouldn't it?

    esata doesn't provide power. You need either a USB cable for that or an AC adapter.

    I do not have M50Vm yet, so I can't help with drivers.
    I can answer second part of your question: NO, eSATA WILL NOT POWER EXTERNAL HD.

    eSATA stands for external SATA and like internal SATA does not power HD. Unlike iSATA, eSATA has to withstand multiple cable on/cable off procedures and thus it is made up to the task (heavy duty)
