    okay i am wiping 2k pro sp4 out and going with xp...
    can someone tell me how i should install the drivers
    like do i need to install cpu hotfix, a the order of which
    others should follow...

    I don't think the order really matters. Just reformat your pc and install WinXP, then install all the Asus stuff (hotfix, drivers, etc.), then install your other apps like Office, some games, etc. Install all the system devices first then install the apps. That's how I would do it.

    Actually, one thing does make a difference - if you install the Intel Chipset support files first, then Windows XP will use them automatically. Otherwise you will have to manually update the devices from the Microsoft driver to the Intel driver later.
