This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    I have seen allot of posts on the forums about the debate between the Z96J and the Compal HEL80. I have posted some pics in another thread showing the machines side by side (Glare Type vs. Matte).

    Price is not always an issue, I don't know about you, but I'd rather spent a little more knowing that my dealer/reseller knows their stuff, and will always be there to be of any assistance, which I'm sure the guys at XoticPC are, as well as the other dealers that frequent and aid in this forum.

    how does the screen on the z96j compare to that on the s96j (besides the higher res)?

    Other than the resolution they physically look identical. The S96J is just as bright and vibrant as the Z96J
