Ok this is unsettling...
I run NHC and power3gear at the same time for my notebook in attempt to maximum battery potential. Thus, i get 510mhz during low cpu use on battery. Now the unsettling issue.
When i set my NHC to max performance when i don't have it plugged in...I get a buzzing noise coming from all over my notebook, but particularily louder near the middle of the keyboard and the area around my CPU/ AC plugin. This noise ONLY comes on when i'm on battery power, and disappears once i plug in my AC. ALso, when i remove my AC, the buzzing doesn't come on for about a minute, but after a minute or so of nothing it starts up.
The buzzing also seems to stop when the cpu is actually being put to use (e.g. prime testing).
The buzzing sounds sounds like some kind of electricity sounds...like hearing the electricity coursing through the cpu... I thought it might've been the cpu fan trying to turn feebly at low rpm/voltage, but after checking with speedfan, i could still hear the buzziing with the cpu fan running fairly fast.
I'm quite worried that something might be horribly wrong with my laptop...maybe even frying the cpu if it isn't controlled properly...(e.g. low frequency with NHC dynamic switching)
Is any1 else experiencing this? or knows what this is? Could it have anything to do with AS5 addition?
max CPU power = odd buzzing noise?
