Can someone help me in determining the memory for asus z96j

Kingston has a helpful site that it can search the correct memory for you.
however crucial does not due this for z96j.

can you tell me what does all of the things mean in a memory like cl2 or cl4, unbuffered, and etc.

    thanks,
    loc

For a Z96, you would be looking for PC2-5300 (DDR2-667) CL5 (or CAS5), unbuffered, NON-ECC 200pin SODIMM. You could use a PC2-4200 (DDR2-533) but it makes more sense to max it out since it costs practically the same price.

I still have a Kingston KVR667D2S5/1G here which I used on my Z96JS before I sent it back (it was defective :( ). I intend to use on a V1J when they actually get around to shipping them to Canada, or a barebones that isn't a Z96J that has a decent video card...
