    How to turn it on?
I might not have drivers for it - where to get it? is it good enough to talk in CS?

In XP, it was just in the Sound Mixer. In Vista (im on a V6j btw) I went to the control panel, hardware and sound, then manage audio devices, and it was listed there. I can't speak on the quality of the G1 mic.

All I did to set my mic up was to go into the control panel, went into the sound settings, and in the recording tab and found the microphone that was with the laptop, ran the setup wizard and that was that. I don't have the realtek audio drivers installed on my system that came on that driver CD, but everything seems to work just fine
