    You panic.

Are you using the trial version of Office? Are you trying to open a protected document? More details please.

If you're trying to copy and paste something, then simply copy everything to WordPad and then copy it back to Word 07.

idk. just opened microsoft word, and no matter what i try to do, it says that in the bottom righht of the screen. i can't type or click on anyhting other than the "file, options, help (Etc)" bar this. I just bought the laptop and this came with it.

If i have to uninstall it to install the real version i have, what do i actually uninstall? i dont want to mess anyhting up

Obviously, you're going to have uninstall the Office 2007 Trial edition. Then you can install the legit version.

If you do find the "Microsoft Office 2007" there, just uninstall it.

BTW OpenOffice is an alternative for MS Office.

What I meant was delete the current installation of Office and install the retail version that you have.

Sure, no problem. If you ever need help, just shine the hammer and sickle up in the sky.
