I want my mouse to move FAST as fast as possible.
So I set it to fastest in thre moouse settings CP.
Upon restart the setting has reverted to the last setting.
    WTF?

Unfortunately this is definitely NOT a one time deal. Why in the world would I post about a one time thing?
Anyway EVERYTIME I turn on my computer the Mouse properties resets. Anyway I realized that I saw some logitech mouse software software and I removed it and went into regedit and removed all instances of logitech and had a look at the start up files and noticed a logitech application I found the app and removed it and all other logitech drivers and files.
I don't know exactly which thing fixed it but one of them did and now the mouse speed doesn't reset itself EVERY time the computer starts.
I assume that the Logitech software is for the mouse which did not come with my machine since I bought it at Best Buy. (Don't buy your G1 at Best buy no matter what price they advertise) they are bait and switchers and they do not completely inform you about the warranty service being performed by geek squad(who jack diddly squat about the g1). I am going to get my money back from American express and buy a new unit from another vendor who will give me the whole package for the same price as the best but price.
Anyway Geek squad was not able to help me with this mouse reset issue. They really have no clue. They try to sell me on a at home service for $$.
