I have been searching everywhere for a guide on how to disassemble my Asus M70Vm-C1 so I can replace the wifi card. I see David has some "official" looking guides for other laptops and was wondering where I could find one for my model.

I don't have the disassembly guide, but I do have the instructions that could help.

Just remove the back panel and the wifi card will be revealed. Remove the antennas connecting to the wifi card and unscrew the 2 screw holding the card down. Once it's unscrewed, it should pop up slightly. From there, just pull the card away from the connector. Reverse steps to install a new wifi card.

    Things to note:

*Make sure you get the same size wifi card. The interface is mini PCI-e, but they can come in either full size of half size. I believe the M70 series uses the full size, but you'll need to open up your back panel to confirm. Full size is about 2 inches in height while half size is about 1 inch in height.

*It doesn't matter which color antenna goes to which connector on the new wifi card.

*Make sure you remove the battery prior to doing any laptop "surgery".

I appreciate your response. I know I have to take off the back panel. I could see the wifi card when I did the hard drive upgrade. My question is how to get the back panel off. I thought I had all the screws out, but I still couldn't remove the panel, thus the reason why I was wanting a disassembly guide. I don't know if any other Asus has a similar case so I could use those instructions. Is there a trick once all the screws are out to removing the panel? Does the Blu-ray drive need to come out?

I got one from Asus. If someone could tell me how to post it here I will.
